The company that now holds the name Peugeot was actually founded back in 1810 as a bicycle and coffee mill manufacturer. The first car was created in 1889 and, since then, the brand has created numerous car models that simply became the delight of people that love quality cars. In 1974 Peugeot bought 30% of Citroën, and it took it over completely in 1975. However, the company still keeps separate identities for the two brands, although it does share the technical and engineering resources. As expected, Peugeot has lots of factories in and outside France, as it has extended to Spain, Brazil, Slovakia, Czech republic, Japan, Indonesia, Portugal, Iran and Italy, among others.
